Still wondering about something? Call or text us at (513) 575-5475.
Why does my white gold ring look yellow?
White gold is often plated with rhodium for a bright white finish. Over time and with daily wear, that plating wears down and the ring’s natural warmer color shows through. A re-plating brings back the original shine.
How often should I re-plate my ring?
It depends on how often you wear it, but most clients re-plate white gold rings every 12 to 18 months.
Does polishing wear down my ring over time?
A light hand polish removes very little metal. We will always tell you if a piece has been polished enough times that it needs reinforcement instead.
Can yellow or rose gold be polished too?
Yes, all metals can be hand polished to restore their shine. Rhodium plating is specific to white gold.
